Practice Description

Savanna Basso primarily works as a litigation associate in Woodruff & Smart’s eminent domain department.   Ms. Basso participates in all phases of the eminent domain process.  Savanna also assists clients with workplace investigations into misconduct (including allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace violence, and other allegations of workplace misconduct).

Ms. Basso completed her undergraduate studies in 2018 at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies.

After graduating college with honors, Ms. Basso attended the California Western School of Law in San Diego, California, where she participated in her school’s Mediation Clinic and was a mediator at the Superior Court of California. Ms. Basso was also involved with the mentor program at Cal Western, and was a certified law clerk during law school, affording her the early opportunity to represent clients in Superior Court proceedings. Ms. Basso also worked part-time at a firm where she represented tenants in landlord-tenant disputes and assisted in family law cases.

During her time at California Western School of Law, Ms. Basso received several scholarships and awards for academic excellence and was on the Dean’s List multiple times. Ms. Basso graduated a semester early during the pandemic and received her J.D., cum laude, in January 2021.  Ms. Basso recently took and passed the bar exam in February 2021 and is a proud new member of the California Bar.

Ms. Basso is a member of the State Bar of California and the Orange County Women Lawyers Association.
