Practice Description
Elizabeth “Liz” Valadez brings more than twenty years of litigation experience focused primarily on eminent domain and inverse condemnation matters, with an expanding focus on public entity defense involving civil rights and tort liability. She represents public agencies in condemnation, civil rights, and tort liability matters, advising clients through all phases of litigation from initial pleadings through trial. Her work includes extensive motion practice, depositions, coordination with appraisers and other experts, and preparation for trial.
Ms. Valadez has represented public agencies in high-profile eminent domain and inverse condemnation cases, including OCTA in proceedings involving landmark Orange County projects such as the $1.9 billion I-405 Improvement Project, $503 million SR 55 Project, and multiple Railroad Grade Separation Projects. Her work on these projects has included acquisition planning, compliance with eminent domain procedures, and litigation strategy from initial pleadings through resolution.
Ms. Valadez draws on broad civil and business litigation experience developed early in her career to represent public entities in a wide range of complex litigation matters, combining extensive eminent domain knowledge with practical public entity defense experience.
Professional Activities
Ms. Valadez is a member of the American Bar Association and the California State Bar Association, having been admitted to practice in all courts of the State of California. Ms. Valadez has been admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court, Central District of California.
